An Engagment, A Pregnancy and A PARTY!

Lots went on this weekend in the Williamson household.

Friday afternoon, my little brother got down on one knee and asked Nicole to marry him. Jon was so romantic and did a great job picking out a ring...so I hear! :) I have known for a while and had to all but ignore her so she didn't catch on to my excitement! We are all so thrilled that this time next year Nicole will be apart of our family. We love you, Nicole and Jon!

I also found out this weekend that my best friend Meredith will be having a baby! I can hardly wait. Mer has always been such a good God Mother to my girls and I know she will be the best Mommy ever! Congratulations, Mer! Can't wait to start planning the shower! Love you!
**And for all you people who read the title and thought I was preggo...GOTCHA!

Saturday night, Travis and I went to "One Last Hoorah" for Sarah and Shaun Penny. They had a reception here in Springdale for all the family and friends who couldn't make it to the wedding in Florida a few weeks ago. There was a live band, good food and lots of fun. Sarah and Shaun, we are so excited for you guys to start your life together! We are also glad to have you close. We love you both!

Diving in!

The other night, we played outside (like we do EVERY night) and the girls were SUPER dirty. So, Travis and I stripped them in the laundry room and told them to hurry to the tub. I hadn't started the water yet, so I grabbed their jammies while they were playing in the bathroom. Emma was laughing so hard and I could hear Hannah yelling "MaMa! MA MA! Oh ohhh". I knew something was up, so Trav and I headed in there. We saw Hannah high centered on the side of the tub, BOOTY in the air! I decided it was the perfect photo op! I told Travis and Emma not to touch her and ran to get the camera. Enjoy! (I had to block out her ...can't be posting that on the Internet!)

Wild Williamson Weekend

This weekend, we had a pretty crazy weekend.
Friday night, Travis's mom and his step-aunt and cousins came by the house. He has a cousin that is Emma's age. We went with them to a show of some rather large snakes. Afterwards, we went to Tim and Shannon's house to play and watch a baseball game.
Saturday, Travis had a quick remodel job to do. He called me about 11am and told me he got a piece of tile in his eye. The girls and I took him some eye wash while he finished what he needed to do. He came home and said that his eye was scratched and we should go to the doctor. In the meantime, Hannah woke up from nap with a fever. She has been fighting an ear infection since we went to the beach. I figured the medicine hadn't quite knocked it off of her. So, Saturday, Emma and I took care of Travis and Hannah.
Sunday, Travis felt better. Hannah still had a low fever, but was acting OK. So, it was a typical Sunday. However, a little lazier and calmer than usual! :)
Today, everyone is better. I took Hannah to the doctor and she has swimmer's ear...like she's Michael Phelps or something. We have a follow up on Friday with Dr. Lovell. Travis has an eye doctor appointment tomorrow to make sure everything is OK with him.
Below are a few pictures of the girls from the weekend. Enjoy!

Beautiful Emma!

Works For Me

Everything I have learned about being a Mommy has either been shared from another Mommy or I figured it out on my own. I have found it is much easier when it's shared from another Mommy because you totally skip that "trial and error" stage while figuring it out on your own. So, I thought I would start sharing somethings that I have found to make my life easier and my girls' lives happier...Enjoy!

Hannah has decided that she is much too big for sippy cups. She thinks that she is as big as Emma and should at least get a cup with a straw. I have been rather impressed with her use of a straw. She can drink out of a straw so well. However, if I give her a juice box, she pulls the straw out and turns it upside down after she finishes her first few drinks. This leads to quite the mess. So, I found these cups at Target (I am sure they have them at Walmart too. They are called Take and Toss Straw Sippers. These cups are quite possibly the best invention ever. The straws are semi-hard to get out, so Hannah doesn't pull them out, but she can still drink her milk like a big girl.

Mission Accomplished!

Florida Fun

WE'RE BAAAACK!

**First of all...special thanks to Dee Lea for taking all these pictures of us. I never even got my camera out of the car! Thanks, Dee! We had a blast with you and your family!

As you all know, we headed to Florida last week for a family vacation and Sarah VanBebber's wedding. We left on Tuesday EARLY morning and expected to drive part of the way and finish the trip out on Wednesday. However, the girls were SO well behaved in the car, we made it the whole way on Tuesday.

Wednesday morning, we got up and headed out to the beach. We had a great time. Emma LOVED the water, but Hannah wouldn't get out of her beach chair for fear of the sand. It was hilarious. She sat in her chair all day under her umbrella and watched people play. Later that night, we headed back to the beach house for Pizza and Karaoke. It was a blast!

Thursday, more of the same during the day. However, Hannah did decide to get out of her chair and sit in the sand by the end of the day. She still hated the water and just wanted to sit...no digging! Emma was a water bug and made LOTS of pretty sand castles. We also took some family pictures that day...I will post them soon. Thursday night, we went to the Santa Rosa Beach Club for rehearsal dinner. It was so nice! (Pictures of that coming soon)

Friday morning, we went to the beach. Hannah decided she needed to get in the water...FINALLY! She walked out there, holding our hands and laughed so hard every time a wave hit her. Emma was such a big helper on keeping her face OUT of the water. Hannah even thought she was big enough to stand on her own in the water...but I wasn't ready to let her hands go just yet. We had a blast! That night was wedding night...everything was perfect and Sarah was absolutely beautiful! We had a blast a the reception.

The trip back was great as well. The girls were wonderful, however, we did end up stopping...in Little Rock! ha ha! We just needed some rest and Emma was determined that we would stay in a hotel on this trip. Father's Day, we finished the 2 1/2 hour drive home and spent the day playing...and Mommy doing laundry!

We had a wonderful vacation. Our biggest worry was the ride for the kids, but everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Enjoy the pics...more coming soon! :)

So Long, Farewell....

That's right, The Williamson Family is off to the beach. I may have a post before I go from a weekend of cleaning and packing (Travis thinks I need to embarrass myself by showing how many bags it takes us to go somewhere). But, I wanted you all to know that I will be gone for a week so you will have to try to find something as interesting as the Williamson Family Blog to read...GOOD LUCK!

While I am gone, you can all wait in patient anticipation of the wonderful beach and wedding pictures I will post upon our return. Please try to contain your excitement! See you soon!

Let's Go Fishing!

About 1 year ago, Travis and Emma went fishing at Springdale Lake. I stayed home with Hannah. About 30 minutes after they left, it started pouring down rain. Travis pulled up about 15 minutes after the rain started. He got Emma out and she was boo hooing! I asked her what was wrong and she told me "The rain ruined my dress!" (she had on a little sun dress). I tried not to laugh and told her it would be ok. Ever since then, she has adamantly refused to go fishing with Travis.

Emma had a tummy ache earlier today and a low fever, so we didn't spend much time outside. After nap, she woke up feeling better. So, after dinner, we decided to take the girls out to Springdale Lake for a wagon ride to try to get them out of the house for a little bit...maybe the sunshine would help Emma feel LOTS better. It has a walking trail and Travis thought he could get Emma to fish. So, off we went. Travis showed Emma how to bait a hook, how to cast and finally....HOW TO REEL IN A BIG ONE!

On the second cast, Emma caught a fish! She was so excited! She even held the fish and threw it back herself! We were so proud of her! We only fished a little bit longer and no bites. But, she is asking to go back! Hannah had fun too. I took her for a ride in the wagon, we blew bubbles and we threw rocks in the Lake. It was a nice ending to a great weekend...and Emma is on cloud 9!

Let's Stock the "Soon-to-be" Penny's Bar!

Last night, Travis and I were invited to a Stock Your Bar/Couple's Shower for the coming marriage of Sarah VanBebber to Shaun Penny. They are getting married 6/13 in Sea Grove Beach, FL. We can hardly wait!

I, of course, forgot my camera. But, it was a fabulous party. The party was held at Dee and Johnny Lea's house. It was outside by the pool. We had great punch and even better ribs. The night was a huge success.

Sarah and Shaun, we had a blast. Thank you for inviting us!
